Nowadays, women play a significant role in the society and well-known female personalities are breaking boundaries when it comes to different fields we have to day. People are often surprised because women today can do many things.
There are international female celebrities who have different advocacies for women. But in our country, there are also celebrities who leave a mark to the industry that inspired other women.
ABS-CBN Lifestyle released an article during the International Women's Day a list of local female personalities that are "being #BoldForChange":
1. LIZA SOBERANO
Liza Soberano is known for being the country's ultimate "Crush Ng Bayan". Her beautiful face is the first thing that men see in her. However, according to her interview with TV Patrol, Liza said that she does not want to be known only for her beauty but for something more.
Martine Cajucom, a creative director said that Liza Soberano more than just a beautiful face.
"You know she's really beautiful but that's not the only thing about her. She's actually so approachable and so nice," Cajucom said.
2. BIANCA GONZALES
Pinoy Big Brother Host, Bianca Gonzales shared how Karen Davila created a huge impact in her life on her Instagram account.
"I've been asked to share the story of Filipinas who have inspired and empowered me. and I first want to share the story of the amazing @iamkarendavila. Around 13 years ago, I got my first major hosting stint on ABS-CBN for a show called YSpeak, alongside @ryan_agoncillo and Karen. I knew nothing and had zero experience and they really guided me. Karen was never ever selfish with to share her wisdom and share the spotlight. As the years passed, we grew closer and I got to spend even more time with her. To this day, she is our ninang sa kasal, and one of those I run to for career and life advice. She is an extremely successful broadcaster, advocate, and wife and mom. And has time to travel and have a social life pa! Galing diba! She leads by example and she is definitely a woman whose light will #NeverFade," Gonzales wrote.
3. SHAINA MAGDAYAO
During the International Women's Day, Shaina on Instagram posted a photo of one of famous poet Lang Leav's poems.
"This. Is. Her. Time. She is going places, moving mountains. That. Sense. Of. Awakening. . . She can feel it down to her very core," Magdayao wrote on her Instagram.
4. ANNE CURTIS
Aside from making the madlang people happy at ABS-CBN's Noon time show, 'It's Showtime', Anne is also a woman who likes to keep herself strong inside and out. Just like her post on Instagram, she went for a hill sprint circuit with her friends, Isabelle Daza and Solenn Heussaff.
5. KC CONCEPCION
KC also shared on her Instagram account who inspires her most and here what she has to say:
"I was asked by #Downy to choose 3 women who inspire me. Apart from my mom ofc, I want to turn the spotlight on one of my chosen women. Not many know that the woman behind my journey into the humanitarian world is Laurence Ligier, founder of Cameleon Association (@cameleonphilippines) - a French-Filipino NGO that protects the rights of girls who have survived sexual abuse in IloIlo, Philippines. ???????? Laurence & I met by accident at an event in Paris, France, while I was living there as a college student. We soon became friends, and she taught me a lot about the French life, but also "the simple life" - she constantly urged me to follow in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie, a woman who steps out of the glitz and glam of the world of entertainment to lend a hand to those in need.
