Angel Locsin Reads An Excerpt From 'Himala'. Will She Be Doing A Remake Of The Award-Winning Film?

Himala or Miracle is a classic 1982 Filipino drama film that was directed by none other than Ishmael Bernal under the Experimental Cinema of the Philippines. According to the source, the whole script of the film was written by Ricky Lee. This is an award-winning film that didn't just bring pride to the writers and producers but also to the lead role, Elsa that was played by Nora Aunor! 

Now, talking about the film 'Himala', Angel Locsin made waves on social media after a video of her reading an excerpt from Himala went viral online. The YouTube account "mapangaruy" had posted it back in 2009, leaving everyone speechless because of the way Angel Locsin pulled off the best and probably the highlight of the classic film.

After the video went viral, rumors have quickly spread where people are asking if Angel Locsin will be doing a remake of 'Himala' and if she'd be playing the role of Elsa which was originally played by the veteran actress Nora Aunor.

In interview years ago, she exclaimed that it would be impossible for anyone to perfectly pull off the scenes from the classic movie and even her can't do such thing.

"Mahirap po 'yon mapantayan walang makakapantay. So imposible talaga," Locsin said.

All of these speculations that she'd do a remake of 'Himala' started when she read an excerpt from the movie in one of Ricky Lee's fan conventions. Lee even stated that Angel Locsin fits the main character of the film.

However, Angel Locsin clarified that she just went to the said convention to give honor and praise to the superstar Nora Aunor.

Despite that she won't be doing a remake of the film, people still admired the way she dramatically pulled off scenes in the film just by reading an excerpt from it.
