Angel Locsin became part of the horror fantasy drama television series La Luna Sangre (The Blood Moon) as Lia Ortega Rodriguez that was also part of the previous sequel of La Luna Sangre 'Lobo' wherein she was Lia Ortega the 'itinakdang Lobo' and she met her husband in La Luna Sangre Mateo Rodriguez, the most powerful vampire that was portrayed by John Lloyd Cruz. In the pilot week of La Luna Sangre last June 19, everyone is excited for the role of the two most prominent actor and actresses in the showbiz industry, Angel Locsin, and John Lloyd Cruz.

Unfortunately, Angel Locsin as Lia Ortega Rodriguez only had a short exposure in La Luna Sangre as the mother of Malia that was portrayed by Kathryn Bernardo because the lovers, Lia and Mateo was killed by the king of the vampire Supremo Sandrino Villalobo that was portrayed by the former on screen love team of Angel which is Richard Gutierrez.
