The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (also known as FAMAS Awards) are the annual honors given by the organization to recognize the celebrities, directors, and all the people behind the successful movies for the year.
The 65th FAMAS Awards 2017 that was considered as the 'super late' FAMAS Awards that was supposed to honor the best of 2016 will finally push through before the year 2017 ends after it was postponed back in October 2016.
The popular awards night will be held a week from now, December 28, 2017, at the Philippine Social Science Center Auditorium in Quezon City.
Among the nominees of this year's FAMAS Awards are Kathryn Bernardo, Angelica Panganiban, Angel Locsin, Joshua Garcia, Aiko Melendez, and others.
Angel Locsin's film with Vilma Santos and Xian Lim called 'Everything About Her' was nominated for the Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Musical Score, Best Theme Song, and Best Production Design, while the award-winning and versatile actress Angel Locsin was nominated for the Best Actress award.
Meanwhile, Joshua Garcia, the newbie actor, was nominated thrice - Best Actor for 'Vice & Kath & James', Best Supporting Actor for 'Barcelona: A Love Untold'. and for the song that he performed called "Hey Crush".
