The ABS-CBN's world-class talent search called Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) had already kicked off last January 6. The new year started strong for the pilot episode of the talent search since it captivated more viewers after it garnered a total of 36.8% and 40.8% on January 7 in National TV ratings.
Not just that, the show also became a trending topic online after it trended on Twitter worldwide.
The fans didn't just watch the Pilipinas Got Talent for the performers, but they also wanted to see how the judges Freddie “FMG” Garcia, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla, and Vice Ganda, and host Billy Crawford plus PGT’s newest host Toni Gonzaga would handle all the performances from the auditionees.
The first few legs of the auditionees were held at the SM Seaside City in Cebu back on November 20-21, 2017, and another one at the SM Seaside Block 5 Open Area in Cebu City as well on November 22.
The Manila Leg of the live auditions had already started. The Manila leg was held on January 10-12, 2018, at the Tanghalang Pasigueño.
