After she renewed her contract under the ABS-CBN, Angel Locsin was interviewed by the press. She was asked about her upcoming projects. However, the highlight of the interview was when Angel Locsin talked about women empowerment, Marawi City, and why she keeps on helping people.
It all started when the interviewer noticed the statement on Angel Locsin's shirt. It was then when Angel Locsin started talking about women empowerment.
"Anything about women empowerment. Fight tayo!"
"Ever since naman. Gusto ko lang ma-inspire yung mga manonood na babae tayo. YEs, malambot tayo, umiiyak tayo, mababaw luha natin, mas sensitive tayo, pero hindi ibig sabihin non na hindi tayo malakas.. Feeling ko mas malakas pa nga ang babae pagdating sa problema," She said
The press then asked her why she's been silently helping people and why she's always the first one to respond and even doing it behind the camera, she said:
"Hindi naman laging first to respond. Kagaya siguro ng intention ko din, pag may nakita akong ginagawa, naiinspire ako na gawin yung part ko, na baka pag ginawa ko, maka-inspire din ako.
"Mas maganda pag first hand mo din mawi-witness.. Mas kailangan natin na merong taong nagmamalasakit satin, nagmamahal sa atin. Yun naman yung mas importante."
