We can't deny the fact that as fans, we all wondered what will happen next to Angel Locsin's career after she bid goodbye to her iconic character Jacintha Magsaysay/The Lady in Red, in La Luna Sangre.
On Monday, January 29, Angel Locsin renewed her contract with the ABS-CBN, confirming that she'll still be a Kapamilya. On that same day, Angel Locsin has revealed a few details about what's next for her in the year 2018.
“Iba ‘yung pakiramdam na nararamdaman mo rin na pinapahalagahan ka, may malasakit sa’yo ‘yung mga tao at happy ‘yung pamilya dito sa ABS-CBN,” she said in an interview at her contract signing inside the ABS-CBN compound.
According to her, they're already working on her upcoming teleserye, while the target year for her film is 2018.
“Malapit nang maluto, tinitimpla na ngayon ang teleserye t’saka ‘yung bagong pelikula. I think itong year target namin ‘yung year na ‘to [for] both. Pero sana hindi lang siya magsabay para matutukan. I’m very happy, I’m happy to have work na mahal ko at medyo matagal pa tayong magkakasama,” she said.

She also revealed that if everything goes the way it was planned, she'll still be working with Richard Gutierrez.
“Kung ma-finalize si Richard at siya rin naman ang first choice ko. Eh di ba nag-transfer si Chard, ito na ‘yung opportunity ko na makatrabaho siya ulit,” she said.
Apart from that, Angel Locsin also revealed that she's excited to work with Dreamscape for her next teleserye since it would be her first time to work under Dreamscape.
“I am very excited kasi first time kong makatrabaho under Dreamscape. Matagal ko nang wini-wish na makatrabaho sila dahil super nice sa akin sina Sir Deo (Endrinal) and excited naman akong makakakilala ng ibang unit kaya iba ‘to. Ibang challenge naman ‘to para sa akin. I am very excited,” she said.
However, the highlight of the interview was when Angel Locsin expressed her thoughts about entering the world of directing.
Angel Locsin revealed that she's planning on being a director but of course, it would take her a long time before she masters it, claiming that she still has to undergo a lot of training.
"May napag-uusapan pero kulang pa ako sa knowledge right now kaya kailangan pa talagang mag-training under sa mga iniidolo kong director. Gusto ko rin namang pasukin ang directing kaya lang nakaka-stress. Minsan naaawa ako sa director namin 'pag pinapanood ko sila."
