The siege in Marawi City is truly one of the most unforgettable and traumatic experience for the people of Marawi. Maute forces not just destroy the structures and properties of the community, but the people living in that place was the most affected during the 5-month long conflict between the Philippine armed forces and the Maute. But then, during Pilipinas Got Talent break, Angel Locsin can't help but share her experience with her co-judge Vice Ganda while they were waiting at the Judges Lounge as she became one of the volunteers in Marawi City back then.
Everything about Angel's story looks like it was still fresh for her. The story about Marawi City was opened after the Shadow Play performance of Shadow Arts Theater Organization also known as SATO from Palo, Leyte. Their performance was a tribute to the heroes of Marawi City.
Angel Locsin told Vice Ganda that while she and the team were on their way to the city, they saw "Free Foods" and alike posted outside their houses. But what's more amazing is that the community who offers help by giving things for free to those who were affected by the siege are not that rich but then they don't hesitate to help their fellow Filipinos.
