The academe- based award-giving body known as GEMS Awards or the Guild of Educators, Mentors, and Students, the non-profit group that is celebrating their second awarding ceremony at the Center for Performing Arts, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City, Philippines this coming March 2, 2018.
The GEMS Awards 2017 was meant to recognize the outstanding people and excellent performance of the chosen group or organization. Hence, it seems like the Kapamilya Network will be receiving the most number of awards on the awarding day. One of them was the versatile actress, Angel Locsin.
Among all other actresses nominated, Angel Locsin's great acting skills in her 'Maalaala Mo Kaya' episode last May 2017 which was then entitled as 'Picture' gives her the privilege to win Best Actress for the single performance category. Her character 'Samina' in the said episode already received several awards proving how Angel excellent her performance is.
Aside from Angel, Piolo Pascual also wins over the Best Actor award for the single performance in his Maalaala Mo Kaya episode 'Upuan'. Thus, here is the list of the awards that the Kapamilya Network will receive.
