Have you ever wondered where did the versatile actress Angel Locsin, really started her showbiz career as part of Kapuso Network's 'Click'? On her guest appearance in Kapamilya Network's morning talk show, 'Magandang Buhay' which aired last October 19, 2016, the award-winning actress reminisced the day that she originally auditioned for ABS-CBN's youth-oriented show, G-Mik. Hence, she revealed that the show was then looking for someone to become John Prat's love team partner.
Beforehand, Angel stared her story from the day that she was discovered by a talent scout in a grocery store. Thus She was able to join the Star Circle Batch 9 and became part of Batch 9-C.
"Yung sa Star Magic noon, parang may nasalihan kasi akong contest noon tapos isa sa mga prize niya, magkakaroon ka ng chance makapag-workshop sa Star Circle." Angel stated.
Then, when talked about how she auditioned to be part of G-Mik, Angel says:
"Nag-audition ako sa G-Mik, hindi ako nakuha. For John Prats dapat [na ka-loveteam].
"Naaalala ko, nag-paa ako kasi naka-heels ako tapos nalaman ko si John Prats pala [yung partner].
"Nag-paa ako talaga sa audition as in tina-try kong liitan yung sarili ko!
"Hindi naman po kaliitan si Pratty, ha. Pero kasi di ba, pag leading lady, dapat may height kasing tinitignan.
"E, si Heart [Evangelista] yung katabi ko. So ayun po."
Nevertheless, Heart Evangelista was the one who got the role of 'Missy' in G-Mik as she also successfully becomes one of the Star Circle Batch 9 and G-Mik were her first TV show.
