Angel Locsin who was recently put under fire for saying no to the scantily clad women who did a carwashing act in PGT, was commended by the women's rights group, Gabriela.
Gabriela took to Facebook to thank Angel Locsin for standing up against women objectification in a recent episode of Pilipinas Got Talent.
The episode that was aired on March 3, showed the group of Playgirls doing a provocative carwash dance number.
The group failed to make it to the next round of the competition after Vice Ganda and Angel Locsin rejected their performance, claiming that they wanted to see 'talent' and not 'bodies'. Vice also added that if what they've shown was talent, whatever they're wearing, people would still find their performance interesting.
Although the members of the Playgirls criticized Angel Locsin on Facebook, claiming that she has no right to judge them for she, herself, also wore a skimpy outfit in Darna.
Nevertheless, Gabriella still commended her and a lot of netizens praised her for standing up for all the women.
