People who have loved reading the magazine and the prominent people in the magazine and print industry are mourning as some of the most popular glossies in the philippines, specifically, all of the Summit Media's print edition will no longer be published as the company made a big transition to digital.
Apparently, more people are now focused on reading articles online rather than paying for a published article.
A statement by the company’s president Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng reads, “Today, we embrace the way our highly connected audiences now prefer to consume content. As we follow them from print to digital, we will continue our relentless pursuit and delivery of quality, up-to-the minute content and a dynamic and engaging editorial experience—this time, aided by data, which now pervades and informs many of our editorial decisions.”
Meaning, its remaining print magazines will fold. The magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Preview, YES!. Top Gear, FHM, and Town & Country will no longer continue to print.
Before these magazines fold, let us first take some time to admire the iconic magazines that Summit Media had published.
Below are Preview Magazine's most iconic covers:
1. The Golden Girls
Angel Aquino, Ruffa Guttierez, Gretchen Barretto, and Dawn Zulueta shared a single cover page. They were tagged as the Golden girls for the industry will never be the same without them.
2. Provoking covers
The magazine published provking yet sophisticated covers.
3. A platform for “It Girls”
This has been a way for Preview to tell the world what's in and what's out in the fashion industry.
