Samantha Imperial played by Maricar Reyes Poon is definitely one of the most loved characters in La Luna Sangre. People have loved the 'tha-tha' tandem of Samantha (Maricar) and Jacintha (Angel Locsin).
However, the fans of 'tha-tha' were saddened by the death of Samantha Imperial.
Samantha Imperial's long and heroic journey has finally ended after her half-brother, Sandrino, played by Richard Gutierrez, killed her, thinking that she was the Lady in Red who killed Barang, Sandrino's surrogate mother.
For the viewers, it may be gruesome to see Sandrino kill her own half-sister, but for some, it was a heroic act for both the Moonchasers and the La Liga Unida and of course, for Jacintha Magsaysay.
When Jacintha Magsaysay killed Sandrino's surrogate mother, Barang, Samantha knew that she had to do something because Sandrino will revenge for his loss, so Samantha disguised herself as the Lady in Red to spare Jacintha of any doubts about her identity.

Sandrino was obviously shocked and apologetic when he saw his half-sister under the red robe, but when he recalled the litany treachery that he thought Samantha committed, he decided to end Samantha's life. As Samantha was reviving herself again, Sandrino made sure that her heart would stop beating for good.
Everyone was literally saddened by her death, but of course, they didn't forget to congratulate her for a job well done!
On Angel Locsin's Instagram account, she posted a photo of the La Luna Sangre Team along with Maricar Reyes and herself. According to her caption, the photo was taken during the taping for their last scene together.
On a separate post, Maricar Reyes posted a photo of her and Angel Locsin hugging each other. The post came with a caption that reads: "Never underestimate the unpredictable creativity of the #LaLunaSangre team ❤ They spend countless hours working, away from their loved ones, just to give you the best show they can.
