We can still recall that Angel Locsin and Robin Padilla got into a heated argument on the March 2 episode of Pilipinas Got Talent season 6 after Angel Locsin refused to watch the scantily clad women perform a sexy dance number for them and for the viewers.
Just a few seconds after the group Playgirls started performing, Angel Locsin immediately pressed the red buzzer. At the end of the performance she said: "Ako kasi parang hindi ko kaya na makita kayo na nagsasayaw na naka-underwear para lang sa’min. Masyado kayo magaganda at masyado niyo ’tong pinaghirapan para gawin ’yan. Kung may talent kayo, ’yun ang ipakita niyo sa’min dahil talent ang hinahanap namin dito, hindi katawan. Kaya ko kayo binuzz, ayaw kong ma-objectify kayo, masyado ako nagmamalasakit para sa inyo para i-go ko ’to."
Robin then threw a few remarks, asking the ladies if they willingly wore their outfits and if they like it when men love watching them. His remarks somehow disturbed Angel Locsin, leading her to ask if he's being serious.
After the performance was aired on television, the members of Playgirls took to social media to slam Angel Locsin for her remarks, telling her that she doesn't have the right to slam her for she also wore a bikini when she posed for FHM and when she played Darna.
It was when the online debate had started. People from different parts of the country gathered to defend Angel Locsin from all the bashers.
There was even a group who wrote an open letter to Angel Locsin, telling everyone that she did nothing wrong to the ladies, and in fact, she even did the right thing when she pressed the red buzzer.
There were also a few people who praised her for standing up against the objectification of women.
