On the second year of the Guild of Educators, Mentors, and Students (GEMS) Hiyas Ng Sining Awards, the excellence of the celebrities was recognized. Celebrities, directors and even shows and movies were all recognized for their success.
One of the celebrities who received an award on March 2, 2018, at the Center for Performing Arts, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City, Philippines was Angel Locsin. Angel Locsin won the Best Actress in a single performance award for her excellence in an MMK Episode entitled 'Kotse-kotsehan' where she worked with Dimples Romana.
Angel Locsin humbly accepted her award and chose to continue inspiring people. Little did she know that she's not just inspiring ordinary people but also those who are living of the same advocacy of her.
In fact, just recently, Queenie Padilla, the daughter of Robin Padilla had posted a photo of Angel Locsin on her Instagram account along with a lengthy caption that talked about how much she admires Angel Locsin and her whole being.
According to Queenie Padilla, she's not just a superhero on screen but also in real life and that she's the type of lady who no longer needs to wear a superhero suit to save lives for she, herself, is already a hero, a role model, and an inspiration to everyone.
"She’s not just darna on screen, she’s darna in real life. She’s a woman of substance. She’s a hero, without having to wear a suit. She’s a role model not just as an activist but also for women."
