Some people had no idea that she had a lot of successful projects in the GMA Network before she moved to its rival network. Apart from Darna, Angel Locsin also top-billed the shows: Mulawin, Majika, and Asian Treasures.
But then, did you know that before Angel Locsin moved to the Kapamilya network, she first had a film? The film served as the final movie that she did with the Kapuso network before she officially became a Kapamilya artist.
"The Promise" is a 2007 Filipino film that served as Angel Locsin's last movie with the GMA Network. The movie was directed by Mike Tuveria and was top-billed by Angel Locsin herself and her love team back then, Richard Gutierrez.

It has been 11 years since Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez were seen on a film. It has been 11 years since they were last seen on a movie together and their fans just can't wait to see them again on the big screen, which is why a lot of people were ecstatic when Angel and Richard confirmed that they will be doing their reunion movie.
However, in a much recent update, Richard Gutierrez admitted in an interview that his reunion film with Angel Locsin has been put on hold since they are still fixing and polishing the script for the film.
He said, “I think we should ask someone from Star Cinema to answer [if it has been shelved]. But me, I am just looking forward to any project or movies na I’ll be doing with Star Cinema. But for now, I think it’s put on hold. I think pinapaganda lang 'yung script."
Before their reunion film, Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez previously worked together in ABS-CBN's top-rating horror fantasy drama series 'La Luna Sangre' but not as lovers, but as rivals.
