In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Star Cinema, it has been announced that the ABS-CBN films will be bigger, better, and bolder through the years. Meaning, Star Cinema will onlhy continue to grow through the years.
On June 8, the Star Cienma celebrated its 25th year anniversary and so the Star Cinema Managing Director Inang Olivia Lamasan decided to congratulate everyone for growing in the industry.
“What truly gives me joy is we are all here together - lahat tayong binuhay, binuo, hinubog, hinamon, minahal at nagmahal sa Star Cinema. I stand here tonight truly proud to have lived alongside all of you for 25 years,” she said. “I am so proud to have worked with the most resilient Filipino filmmakers, people who are always ready to work long, long, long, very, very long hours under the most challenging conditions to deliver high-quality films… Nandito po tayo dahil sa Star Cinema, ginagawa nating posible ang imposible.”
Apart from that, the Star Cinema also decided to praise the most iconic and most unforgettable films of all time. These films include Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga's "Starting Over Again", Angel Locsin, Vilma Santos, and Xian Lim's "Everything About Her", "Always Be My Maybe" of Gerald Anderson and Arci Munoz, "The Seven Sundays", "The Unmarried WIfe", "Baka Bukas", " "Ang Babaeng Humayo", and a lot more!
Also, the Star Cinema compiled the best movies of Olivia Lamasan. The movies are as follows:
