It sure is perfect to sit back, relax, and watch a movie while sipping a cup of coffee in this rainy season. Given the bad weather, you're left with nothing to do but stay indoors. However, for a volunteer like Angel Locsin, the best thing to do during the rainy season is to go out and help the people who moved to the evacuation centers after their homes were flooded.
Apparently, the award-winning and versatile actress, Angel Locsin, has become the real-life superhero of the people of Marikina after she withstood the heavy pouring of rain, flooded streets, and strong winds just for her to be able to reach out to the flood victims in Montalban, Rizal and Malanday, Marikina.
Even before she visited them, she had already posted a couple of tweets, advising people to stay safe. She also gave out an advice on the route for volunteers who would want to follow in her footsteps.
“For those who are thinking of giving hot meals and other essentials, last night, may (there are) estimated 500 evacuees sa (at) Kasiglahan Village Senior High School Montalban, Rizal,” wrote Locsin in a post she shared via Twitter yesterday, Aug. 12. “I don’t have the total headcount kasi medyo magulo pa (because it was still a little bit chaotic) last night… but you could check and see for yourself.”
